Dr. Hadi Shafiee is the director of the laboratory of micro/nanomedicine and digital health and a faculty member at the Division of Engineering in Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Shafiee’s lab aims to integrate biology/medicine with micro- and nanotechnology to develop innovative tools and solve unmet clinical problems, including applications in disease diagnostics and treatment monitoring particularly for infertility and infectious diseases. His lab is mainly focused on developing point-of-care diagnostics through utilizing advances in consumer electronics, nanotechnology, and optical/electrical/magnetic sensing modalities. His work was featured on the cover of Science Translational Medicine, Advanced Functional Materials, Lab-Chip, etc, and was also recognized by some of the major news outlets including CNN, the Guardian, Boston Globe, CBS News, New York Times, Yahoo News, etc.
